Hey there, Reader Friend! I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that my novella goes to the editor in less than two weeks. The bad news is that I don't know the title. I thought I did... but? The story is this: When a small-town plant whisperer breaks the greenhouse and is told she owes thousands or loses her shot at a fresh start in Colorado, she makes one reckless decision in a wealthy neighborhood that tangles her with a police officer, a relentless dog, and a man in flip-flops who might just change everything. The novella is a segue into the novel Turbulent Skies. Okay. Do we like: A: Turbulence B: Wild One C: You tell me. What should this novella be called? Thanks for hitting reply and helping make novella history. Bye for now!

Hey there, Reader Friend! February is Black History Month, and as a reader, it seems like the right time to reflect on the voices we’re amplifying on our shelves. I’m a white woman book lover and my reading life is richer when it includes perspectives beyond my own. Diverse authors expand my understanding of the world. This month, I’m highlighting a few powerful novels by Black authors that moved me. Now, we already discussed The Catch by Yrsa Dailey-Ward. Just please go buy the hardcover....
Hey there Reader Friend, This Blog was originally posted in 2019 under the title Late Night Date Night. It has been revived for you now to make you laugh and to celebrate Valentines 2026. Enjoy! My Super Husband swept me off my feet for a date last Saturday night, but before we dive into the romantic bits (hello, duck liver pate and dessert rooms), let me catch you up on my Rothy’s saga. When I first received my neutral points as a gift (yes, he’s a Super Husband for a reason), I wasn’t sure...
